The pretty fishing village of Portscatho is a little over a mile away. It's a honey pot for artists, having glorious views across the bay towards Porthcurnick beach. Nearby St Mawes is a haven for boats and yachts and has an excellent choice of restaurants, pubs and cafés. The walk along the harbourside to St Mawes Castle is stunning. A little further on is Lamorran Gardens, a sub-tropical garden paradise.

Further afield, take the scenic ferry crossing to Falmouth and visit the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. The King Harry ferry gives easy access to Trelissick gardens and wonderful walks around the grounds. The Eden Project, St Michael's Mount, St Ives and Padstow are all within easy reach.

Crescent shaped Towan beach is a 3 minute drive away and is a National Trust gem. Pendower, Carne and Porthcurno beaches are also nearby.

The Roseland is a paradise for walkers, having wonderful coastal and river routes all around. A path leads from the doorstep to a quay, with wonderful views along the way.
